Chicago Photography and Light Art................................................................................................The Images on this website have been mostly taken at night and are mainly unedited photographs and all locations are based in the Chicagoland area. Light PaintingMy Light Paintings are all created using very long exposures, and are primarily taken at night. I use various light tools to create objects within the landscape, and I am present in each image the whole time the photograph is being taken. Nothing is ever added to, or subtracted from my images using Photoshop. What you see is what was created in one single long exposure. Long ExposuresMost of my skyline and cityscape Images have been taken around a 5 second exposure, however, some may have taken up to a 15 minute exposure. I am endeavoring to try even longer exposures though none of these images reflect that time span. Sunsets and TwilightSunset, the golden or magic hour, the first and last hour of sunlight during the day. Many words have been used such as twilight to describe the descent into evening. The time is breathtaking, the beauty fleeting, and just minutes to capture the beautiful color tones. Around TownYears ago, newspapers had photo journalists who were the roving reporters snapping pictures at current events or candid photos. I choose to find beauty in complex and simple things around town, capturing a story in an image. |
